Remedy Bar Wellness Talk: The Science Behind “East Meets West” in Healing | 60 mins | R200pp

A presentation by Theresa Moodie highlighting the clinical validation of combining Eastern practices (such as acupuncture) with Western medical approaches to manage stress and prevent burnout. Learn how this synergy can promote holistic wellness by addressing both physical and emotional health. We hope to inspire attendees to embrace both Eastern and Western methodologies to maintain balance in their lives.

Acudetox, NADA Protocol | 30 mins | R450 per person

This simple yet powerful acupuncture technique involves needling specific points on the ear to help reduce stress, manage addictions, and promote mental clarity. The treatment is approximately 30min and is with Theresa Moodie.

Acupuncture Treatments | 60 mins | R750 per person

Traditional acupuncture sessions that target specific concerns or aim to restore overall balance in the body and mind. Sessions are approximately 1hr and are with Theresa Moodie. 

The Acudetox NADA protocol with Theresa Moodie. NADA is the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, an organisation that trains people in the NADA protocol to treat trauma, substance misuse, abuse, and mental health healing and support.

Yin Yoga | R150 per person

The theme of this class is connecting to he extraordinary channels of the Ren (conception) & Du (governing) meridians, believed in Chinese Medicine to be part of the eight extraordinary vessels. This practice will help participants release tension from the body and mind, cultivating stillness and inward reflection.

Craniosacral Therapy & Acupuncture Combo | 60 mins | R1500 per person

Cranio-sacral therapy by physiotherapist, Lindsay Harris, is a gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on releasing tensions deep within the body, and this is combined with acupuncture by Theresa Moodie to enhance the flow of energy (Qi). This combination is perfect for those seeking a deeply restorative experience.

About Theresa Moodie: Theresa Moodie is a Johannesburg-based 500-level yoga teacher and lecturer with a special interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine, more specifically combining the practice of Yin yoga with acupuncture stimulation. Apart from being aligned with Yoga Alliance International and Shakti Yoga, Theresa has qualifications in Acupuncture and Biomedical Sciences (specialising in Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology) through the Athens College of East Asian Medicine. About Lindsay Harris: Lindsay qualified as a physiotherapist in 2000 and went on to complete her Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy shortly after that. Lindsay sees the body as a whole, not focusing on the painful and dysfunctional areas, but the actual cause of these presenting symptoms.
